Knee Sleeves

Q: How do I know what size to get for my knee sleeves?

A: Measure around your knee, and follow the sizing chart. The sizing chart is very accurate.  If your calves are larger than your knee joints, then use the calves' measurement, because your sleeves won't be able to go beyond your calves if they're too small.

Q: What are some ways in which I can help pull on my sleeves?

A: You can get suit slip-ons, which are used by geared powerlifters to help pull on their suits, but are very effective for pulling on the knee sleeves too. They're available here! Alternatively, sprinkle baby powder on the inside of the sleeves and your legs to help slide the sleeves on. You can also use a large plastic bag to help slide the sleeves on.

It is easier to slide the sleeves on if you pull it over your ankle, then fold the top down by a few cm, and fold the bottom up by a few cm, then alternate pulling and pushing the sleeves to get it over your knee joint.

Q: Can I try on the sleeves before purchasing?

A: Yes! Please contact us to arrange a meet up.

Wrist/Knee Wraps

Q: How flexible are the SBD flexible wrist wraps?

A: The name "flexible" is quite a misnomer. While they are more flexible compared to the stiff ones, the SBD flexible wrist wraps are comparable to the Metal Black wrist wraps, or the Titan THP ones.

Q: Which of the Metal wrist wraps are the stiffest?

A: These are in order of increasing stiffness- the Triple Line wraps, the Black wraps, then the Silver wraps.

Q: Which of the Metal knee wraps are the stiffest?

A: These are in order of increasing stiffness- the Triple Line wraps, the Black wraps, the Silver wraps, the Mystical Black wraps, then the Mystical Silver wraps.

SABO Lifting Shoes' Measurements

Q: How do I measure my feet for sizing?

A: The SABO weightlifting shoes are built on European whole sizes (size 39 - 47). To determine the correct size to choose, you need to measure the length of your feet. We recommend doing this at the end of the day when the feet are at their largest due to swelling. It is also best to wear the socks you plan to wear with the shoes.

The length of the shoe is measured from the heel to the end toe tip on the inside of the shoe (excluding lining and inner sole). More accurate measurements are taken while standing. Here are the steps to take when measuring your feet length.

    • You need a piece of paper, a pencil and a ruler.

    • Draw a straight line on the paper. The line should be longer than your foot.

    • Place the paper on a flat surface.

    • Place your foot on the paper - with your heel and longest toe centered on the line. We recommend standing as this will spread your foot out for a more accurate measurement.

    • Draw a mark at the tip of your toe and the back of your heel.

    • Measure both feet and use the length of the largest foot.

    • Take a ruler and measure the distance between the marks.

    • Add 5 milimetres to measurement

    • Find your corresponding size in the table below next to your total measurement in millimetres.

    • If between sizes, we recommend that you round up to the larger size.

Q: How do I determine what size to buy?

This guide is aimed to help you select the best fit for your Sabo shoes without having to try them on.

Below is a chart that describes the characteristics of each shoe:

Powerlifts

Heels

Up to 4.25cm

Winner

Heels

Wide

1.905 cm

Deadlifts

Flat

Narrow

-

Good lift

Notes:

  • Sabo shoes come in Euro sizing.
  • Powerlifting shoes should feel snug and you may possibly experience some mild discomfort. However, your toes should not be cramped and stacked over each other.

Example for powerlifts:

If you are a US size 9, you will typically be a EU size 40.

If you are a US size 9 with broad feet, you may need to get size 41 instead.

Example for deadlifts:

If you are a US size 9, you will typically be a EU size 39.

If you are a US size 9 with broad feet, you may need to get size 40 instead.

For extreme cases, you can down 2 sizes if you have narrow feet.

Example for Sabo Winner Weightlifting shoes:

Winner shoes have a nice and spacious toe cap so you can get the shoe at the size that is measured.

Example for Sabo Good Lifts:

If you are a US size 9, you will typically be an EU size 39.

If you are a US size 9 with broad feet, you may need to get size 40 instead.
